There Are Billions of Unreached People Worldwide

A people group is considered ‘unreached’ if less than 5% of the population are Christian Adherent or less than 2% are Christians engaged in evangelical efforts. There are up to 7000 unreached people groups in the world; about 3 billion people worldwide (Joshua Project)!

At Missions 1, we motivate Christians to give support to missions’ work inorder to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of missions’ efforts. You can join us in sharing the love of Christ with the Unreached People Groups (UPGs) of Northern Nigeria. We are committed to reaching every tribe in Nigeria with the gospel. Our efforts directly improve the livelihoods of under-privileged and neglected communities where missionaries work.

Importance of Missions in Nigeria

Missions play a critical role in Nigeria as they help to spread the Gospel and provide social services to communities in need. Missionary activities have contributed to the growth of Christianity in Nigeria and have played a significant role in shaping the country’s religious landscape. For Nigerian Christians living abroad, supporting mission work in Nigeria can be a way of connecting with their roots and contributing to the advancement of the Gospel in their homeland. The Great Commission, as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20, commands Christians to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and supporting mission work in Nigeria is a practical way of fulfilling this divine mandate.
